Can I make-it?

Sometimes I get depressed, really depressed, because I think I think about the wrong set of questions. Know what I mean? Then I spiral down and start to fret... Omigosh! I read the Book of Revelation, and erm, this time round, I got really depressed! I'm thinking - so many calamaties, so many people die (Rev 6:7; Rev 9:18), how I can survive, how I can make it till the end? Then I thought about, ok, so what do I need to do now, quick quick, find out... (not wrong, but pretty much out of fear and many what-if's).

Time-out. Take a step back. Wait... It begins with asking the right question.

Instead of "Can I make it"? I thought... "Can God be trusted?"; "Can I trust Him?" Besides, Apostle Paul exhorted Timothy:

2 Tim1:12
"For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day." (NKJV)

"That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day." (NIV)

(1) For I know whom I have believed!!!!!

(2) persuaded, convinced, confident that God can keep us faithful and steady till the end!

Ok, my heart rate calmed down. And hmm... I'm not so depressed after all.

Get down to really KNOW God.

Then entrust our steps into His faithful and loving hands. Trust Him to lead us, being confident in His leadership in our lives, then our ability to make-it.

Prov 3:5-6
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Jer 9:23-24
Thus says the LORD:
“ Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Let not the mighty man glory in his might,
Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows Me,
That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these I delight,” says the LORD."

Phil 1:6
"...being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ..."
